How to apply?

If you’re interested in organizing fun events as well as meeting and helping new students, fill out an online application form no later than December 10, 2023.

All applicants will be interviewed during spring time and the new tutors will be chosen after the interviews. Interviewing schedule will be informed to the applicants by email after the application period. All applicants will be informed about the decisions by email.

Tutors’ responsibilities and obligations

Tutoring is fun and you will gain a lot from the experience. Nevertheless, you shouldn’t become a tutor just to have fun – tutors have responsibilities, too. Peer tutor period is for one year and after a year in peer tutoring you can apply to continue as a responsible tutor for another year. Tutors must participate in the trainings and be active on their free time, too. They need to fulfill the tasks defined in the tutor contract and be responsible guides for the new students. Receiving proper guidance at the beginning of studies is extremely important.

What’s in it for you?

You are a tutor after finishing the compulsory trainings. As a tutor, you will make new friends, gain valuable experiences and also receive ECTS credits. Tutoring is a course, during which you will collect markings from the tasks you perform in your portfolio and at the end of your tutoring term, you will receive credits according to these portfolio entries. You can obtain 3-5 ECTS credits from tutoring, depending on your tasks and how active you are.

Please remember that you can only obtain the credits after attending to both parts of the basic training and working as a tutor for an entire tutoring period.

    • In Finnish Fri-Sat 22-23 March 2024
